8JS

L I V E F A S T

8JS was created by Sacha Prost, the son of 4-time Formula One world champion Alain Prost along with his brother Nicolas and sister in law Delphine.

One night the idea sparked amongst us. We thought to ourselves that we weren't really moved by automobile inspired brands. So why not us? Five minutes later, 8Js was born but the name is another story.

The brand commits itself to the highest quality standards, manufacturing in Italy and Portugal, seeking only the best partners for each of their products. The 8Js man needs the type of garment he can just throw on to go for a drive. That is why, comfort, ease of movement and durability are key.

THE NAME SEEKS TO PAY HOMAGE TO EIGHT DRIVERS THAT MARKED THE HISTORY OF MOTORSPORT IN THE 1970’s WITH CHARISMA AND STYLE.

8Js' inspiration is anchored into the most glamorous era of motor-racing.

ENGIINEERED FOR DRIVING

THE BRAND

THE ORIGINAL RACING SNEAKERS

THE RACING STRIPE

The racing stripe is the most symbolic design of the 8Js collection.

The racing stripe first appeared in 1965 on Jim Clark, and then on all racing overalls from the 70’s. The sleek red stripe on an off-white base subtly recalled the track while creating a highly distinct and emblematic look. Its elegance forms the base of the 8Js style.

Throughout the collection it appears in various fabrics and colours, jersey fabric on polos and sweatshirt, washed on the distressed denim shirt.

Dedicated lines of t-shirts and scarves, named as Icons, Literature, Onboard or Grid girls, feature the most emblematic scenes of racing history, showing legendary pilots or timeless tracks, or even the quintessential Grid Girls. Pictures are carefully handpicked from negative board archives of photographers from the 60s, 70s and 80s, then reworked by graphic designers, drawers or typography artists in order to obtain truly unique visuals.
